DEEP SEA FISHING AT IT’S BEST IN SODWANA BAY.

In Uncategorized by sodwana / October 9, 2013 / 0 Comments

The summer is in full swing in SODWANA BAY and good DEEP SEA catches are expected this summer.

We are expecting a bumper Billfish season in SODWANA BAY. The big competitions are on during November 2013 and both DURABLE and DURABLE II are geared and ready to take on whatever SODWANA BAY has on offer. SODWANA BAY CHARTERS and DURABLE supports catch-and-release of Billfish and we encourage our anglers to keep only what they intend to eat.

Well done CAS-JAN KRUGER and crew with your sailfish caught off the boat DURABLE. The fish unfortunately died during the fight. The other sailfish, caught the same day, was released.

Marlyn-1:  Bredenhan-0.

070076Durable and Durable II ready to launch. Five sailfish were caught-and-released on Durable (2), and Durable II (3) during the September 2013 long week-end. Well done Cassie on your 50kg+ sailfish caught on Durable. The pictures will be posted on our next post.

Congratulation to Duan and Xan Swart. 18 kg GT and a nice Couta (King Mackerel) caught off the boat DURABLE, skippered by Peter. Sea conditions are calm with the occasional cold fronts coming through as expected. with a little more effort, good catches are still recorded during the winter months.

Hashim Amla (Protea cricketer and world’s best batsman) brought his friends to Sodwana Bay for a deep sea fishing trip on DURABLE. What an awesome day with the world’s best batsman and his friends. Hashim found the sea a bit rocky, but as soon as the fish was on, he hit them for six. Great having you guys on the boat.
